Refugee Festival 2025

The third edition of the Refugee Festival took place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 9:30 PM in a packed Piazza XX Settembre. The star of the evening was Roy Paci & Aretuska, the trumpeter from Syracuse famous worldwide for his fusion of rocksteady, ska, soul, funk, and Mediterranean sounds, who engaged the crowd in a great collective celebration.

Promoted by the Municipal Administration led by Mayor Paolo Amenta, in collaboration with the SAI of the Ministry of the Interior and the social enterprises Passwork and La Pineta, the evening combined music, institutional speeches, and testimonials from young migrants welcomed in Canicattini Bagni. The concert was part of the 22nd Mediterranean Festival program, confirming the Iblean municipality's vocation as a capital of peace and a national model of integration.
