Edition 2025 — Readers' Festival

The 21st edition of the Readers' Festival in San Giovanni Rotondo, from October 9 to 24, 2025, was dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth. Organized by the local chapter with the Provo.Cult Club, it featured three free-access meetings exploring literature, women's journalism, and the history of costume, under the national theme "Modern Times: fragility, desire, transformations."

The 2025 edition of the Readers' Festival in San Giovanni Rotondo opened on October 9 with an inaugural meeting curated by Lucia Motolese, featuring a video appearance by English literature scholar Debora Lambruschini, dedicated to the world of Jane Austen on the 250th anniversary of her birth.

On October 18, at the Provo.Cult APS headquarters, writer and journalist Valeria Palumbo presented "Women who write are dangerous," a journey through the pioneers of Italian women's journalism, curated by Mara De Felici.

On October 24, the festival concluded with "The extraordinary charm of small things: dresses, tea, and dances in Jane Austen's books," curated by Raffaela Verde and Orietta De Luca, featuring readings and a Regency-style atmosphere.

Promoted by the Presìdi del Libro with the patronage of the Municipality of San Giovanni Rotondo, the edition was part of the regional Puglian program of the Readers' Festival, with free and open access.
