Edition 2025 — Rassegna Popolare Ibbisota
The tenth edition
On August 16, 2025, the Rassegna Popolare Ibbisota reached the milestone of its tenth edition, bringing the ancient village of Gesso (Messina) to life from 6:00 PM. The star was the Cannolo Festival, with pastries filled to order in classic, gianduia, and pistachio flavors, accompanied by the return of pane cunzato, Sicilian street food, and craft beers from the San Bull brewery.
The evening, hosted by Alessia Di Bella, featured the traditional parade of Sicilian carts with traditional musicians, the Opera dei Pupi by the Fratelli Napoli puppet company, folk dances by the Cariddi group, and an ethno-folk concert by the band Le Matrioske. Among the most applauded moments were the live creation of a giant cassata by CONPAIT and the artistic exhibition by Mary Giò Dolcezza, in a festival true to its roots: promoting the village and Sicilian folk traditions.
