Edition 2025 — Rappasciona Fest

In 2025, the Rappasciona Fest enlivened Viggianello at the beginning of January, in Piazza San Francesco di Paola, with tastings of the ancient peasant soup, folk music, and artisan markets in the atmosphere of the Lucanian New Year's Eve.

The 2025 edition of the Rappasciona Fest confirmed the charm of a festival celebrating the humble cuisine of Pollino. At the beginning of January, in Piazza San Francesco di Paola in Viggianello, the community gathered around the rappasciona, the ancient soup of white beans, corn, and wheat flavored with zafarano pisat, a symbol of good luck for the new year. Amidst steaming tastings, folk music, dancing, and artisan markets, the Lucanian village experienced one of its warmest winter evenings.
