Rapone Soppressata and Caciocavallo Festival

The Rapone Soppressata and Caciocavallo Festival was held on August 10, 2025, confirming itself as one of Lucania's oldest gastronomic festivals. Organized by the Pro Loco, it animated the historic center with tastings of soppressata and caciocavallo prepared according to traditional recipes, stands with typical dishes and local wines, folk music, storytelling for the little ones, and exhibitions of local products. Among the offerings were also guided tours of the fairy-tale murals that make Rapone a village with a unique identity.
