Ramacca Carnival

The 2025 Ramacca Carnival was held from February 27 to March 4, confirming its status as one of the most impressive carnival events in the province of Catania. Seven allegorical floats in papier-mâché competed for a total prize pool of 40,000 euros, involving over 1,000 people including builders, artists, and volunteers.

The program opened on February 27 with the school gathering in Piazza Umberto and the miniature float exhibition, culminating on March 4 with the gathering of the allegorical floats in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, the afternoon parade, and evening choreographed performances in Piazza Umberto. Guests included Salvo La Rosa, Paola Parisi, and comedian Carlo Kaneba. The event was enriched by the exhibition "Carnevale in Mostra – Sorrisi e allegoria di Sicilia", dedicated to miniature papier-mâché floats.
