2025 Rabbit Festival: the fortieth edition

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Rabbit Festival in Vico nel Lazio celebrated its fortieth edition, within the framework of the Feast of the Madonna della Concordia scheduled from September 11 to 15, the last major summer festival of the Ciociaria village. After the Eucharistic celebration, from 7:30 PM, the square of the Madonna della Concordia church hosted the traditional distribution of oven-baked rabbit, accompanied by music and food stalls.

The 2025 edition also had a special significance: the proceeds from the festival were donated to the restoration of the fresco of the Madonna della Concordia that adorns the church's high altar, a 13th-century sacred work in need of urgent conservation efforts. The festivities continued on Sunday, September 14, with a solemn mass presided over by the parish priest Father Luigi Battisti and a procession with the statue of the Madonna through the streets of the village, accompanied by a marching band.

Feast of the Madonna della Concordia, September 11-15, 2025. Friday, September 12: 6:30 PM mass and torchlight procession to the cemetery in memory of the departed. Saturday, September 13: Eucharistic celebration and, from 7:30 PM, 40th Rabbit Festival on the sanctuary square. Sunday, September 14: Solemn mass presided over by Father Luigi Battisti and procession with the statue of the Madonna accompanied by a marching band; in the evening, food stalls and live music.
