Edition 2025 — Putignano Carnival

The 631st edition of the Putignano Carnival took place between February and March 2025 with the theme "Subversion," a concept linked both to carnival tradition and the challenges of contemporary society. A program of 87 events, featuring over ten national guests, brought the Murgia town to life, drawing over 85,000 spectators.

Subversion: the 631st edition

The 2025 Putignano Carnival chose "Subversion" as its theme, developed through seven allegorical floats, six masked groups, and six traditional characters that paraded through the streets of the historic center. The four parades were held on Sunday, February 16th (3:30 PM), Saturday, February 22nd (7:00 PM), Sunday, March 2nd (11:00 AM), and Tuesday, March 4th, Shrove Tuesday (6:30 PM).

Among the 87 scheduled events, national guests included La Rappresentante di Lista, Le Vibrazioni, N.A.I.P., rapper Nitro, and Pif, with writer Nicola Lagioia serving as president of the float jury. The float dedicated to "peace and subversion" emerged victorious.
