Edition 2025 — Puro Cioccolato Festival
Puro Cioccolato Festival 2025
From January 17 to 19, 2025, Giovinazzo hosted the third edition of the Puro Cioccolato Festival in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, with stands open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. About ten master artisan chocolatiers offered pralines, bars, hot chocolate, and original specialties such as the "Juliet's Kiss," "Romeo's Kiss," "Pan di Stelle," "Grandma's cherries," and banana creations. Alongside Italian artisans, chocolatiers from Germany, Brazil, France, Spain, and Latin American countries took part.
The event, coordinated by Alfredo Orofino (president of A.I.R.S.) with Confartigianato Imprese Bari-BAT-Brindisi and the patronage of the Municipality of Giovinazzo, took place in conjunction with the Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot: between the chocolate stalls and the traditional bonfires in honor of the saint, the public was also able to taste local traditional dishes such as caprjéte and pegnatìdde. In the old town, the theatrical performance "Dite Inferno," inspired by Dante's Inferno, was staged.
