Pupporina and Tordello Festival

The 2025 Pupporina and Tordello Festival was held from August 1st to 15th in Bozzano, a village in Massarosa (Lucca), confirming a tradition that has been renewed for decades. At the food stands of Parco Giuseppe del Soldato, open every evening, visitors were able to enjoy the pupporina, the famous round anise-seed pastry linked to the feast of Saint Bartholomew, and the homemade filled tordello, in addition to numerous typical land and sea dishes.

As per tradition, the evenings were enlivened by shows, live orchestra dancing, and tombola games, in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere. Admission was free, with payment only for what was consumed.
