Provincia Barocca — The Great Theatre of the World

In 2025, the territory of Casalmaggiore began the process of enhancing its Baroque heritage, which would lead to the project "Provincia Barocca". Studies, in-depth analyses, and scientific discussions explored the role of the Casalmaggiore and Viadana areas in the history of arts between the 16th and 18th centuries, with particular attention to theatrical scenography and the Bibiena family.

This preparatory phase laid the foundation for the exhibition "Il gran teatro del mondo" at the Diotti Museum, scheduled from autumn 2026, and for the accompanying scientific conference, as part of a broader cultural relaunch of the Oglio-Po territory.
