Provincia Barocca — Il gran teatro del mondo

In 2025, the territory of Casalmaggiore began the process of enhancing its Baroque heritage, which would lead to the project "Provincia Barocca". Studies, in-depth analyses, and scientific discussions explored the role of the Casalasco and Viadanese areas in the history of the arts between the 16th and 18th centuries, with a particular focus on theatrical scenography and the Bibiena family.

This preparatory phase laid the groundwork for the exhibition "Il gran teatro del mondo" at the Museo Diotti, scheduled from autumn 2026, and for the accompanying scientific conference, as part of a broader cultural relaunch of the Oglio-Po territory.
