Edition 2025 — Mysteries of Trapani

The 2025 edition of the Procession of the Mysteries took place on Good Friday, April 18, departing at 2:00 PM from the Church of the Holy Souls in Purgatory. The twenty sculptural groups paraded through the main streets of Trapani's historic centre for over twenty-four hours, until noon on Holy Saturday, April 19, renewing a ritual that has been repeated for over four hundred years to the rhythm of the 'annacata' and funeral marches.

Mysteries of Trapani 2025

The 2025 edition was held on Good Friday, April 18, with departure at 2:00 PM from the historic Church of the Holy Souls in Purgatory. The procession of the twenty Sacred Groups wound its way for over twenty-four hours along the streets of the historic centre, concluding at noon on Holy Saturday, April 19.

As per secular tradition, the groups were carried on the shoulders by the city's artisan guilds with the swaying movement of the 'annacata', accompanied by the funeral marches of the bands. The event, organised by the Unione Maestranze, confirmed the strong tourist appeal of Trapani's Holy Week, one of the most followed Easter rites in Sicily.
