Edition 2025 — Cristo Morto Norcia

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, Norcia renewed the Procession of the Dead Christ. At 3:30 PM, the Lament of the Madonna by Jacopone da Todi in Capolaterra, at 9:00 PM the procession along the city walls with about 300 participants and ten living pictures of the Via Crucis, by the sole light of torches.

On Good Friday, April 18, 2025, Norcia renewed its traditional representation of the Passion. At 3:30 PM, the Lament of the Madonna by Jacopone da Todi was staged by the local theater company in the square of the church of Sant'Antonio Abate, in Capolaterra.

At 9:00 PM, the Procession of the Dead Christ began, winding along the city walls with a heart-shaped route. Approximately 300 costumed participants — Roman soldiers on horseback, devout women in black, chained penitents — accompanied the ten living pictures of the Via Crucis, amidst the roll of drums and the glow of torches.
