Procession of the Dead Christ – Good Friday

In 2025, the Procession of the Dead Christ once again represented the most intense moment of Holy Week in Città di Castello. On the night of Good Friday, the Confraternities of the Good Counsel and the Holy Spirit accompanied the effigies of the Dead Christ and the Sorrowful Virgin along the streets of the historic center, by the light of torches that recreated the characteristic "foco vivo". A rite of over eight centuries, experienced by the Tifernate community amidst devotion, memory, and identity, with the participation of the city band and choir.
