Procession of Saint Vitus the Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Saint Vitus the Martyr festival confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the small municipality of Vita, in the province of Trapani. Around the liturgical date of June 15th, the patron's statue was carried in procession along the streets of the historic center, amidst the participation of the faithful, the sound of the band, and the presence of confraternities with their banners. The celebration, which recalls the historical bond between the saint and the town's founder, Vito Sicomo, remains one of the most heartfelt events in the local religious calendar, distinct from the grand festival of the Most Holy Crucifix and Saint Vitus that the village celebrates in September.
