Edition 2025 — Our Lady of the Star

In 2025, the Borgo Ticino of Pavia once again celebrated the centuries-old procession of Our Lady of the Star on the river, with mass at Santa Maria in Betlem and the statue carried by boat along the Ticino among illuminated vessels, continuing an unbroken neighborhood tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Procession of Our Lady of the Star confirmed one of the most heartfelt rites of the Borgo Ticino of Pavia. As per centuries-old tradition, the celebration combined the solemn mass in the church of Santa Maria in Betlem with the evocative river procession, with the statue of Our Lady placed on a barcè to sail up the Ticino River accompanied by illuminated boats. An event that gathers the neighborhood community each year around devotion and the deep bond with the river.
