Procession and Celebrations of the Madonna of San Luca

The 2025 edition of the celebrations for the Madonna of San Luca took place in Bologna from May 24 to June 1. The image descended from the Colle della Guardia, reaching Porta Saragozza at 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, where it was welcomed by Archbishop Cardinal Matteo Zuppi; the procession traveled along via Saragozza, via Collegio di Spagna, via Carbonesi, via D'Azeglio, Piazza Maggiore, Piazza del Nettuno, and via Indipendenza, to the Cathedral of San Pietro for Holy Mass.

On Wednesday, May 28, the image reached the Basilica of San Petronio in procession for the traditional blessing of the city from the parvis. Among the events, on Saturday, May 31, was the fun-run 'Run for Mary – Hope Runs', starting from Piazza Santo Stefano. The climax was on Sunday, June 1, with the ascent to the sanctuary and the concluding Holy Mass on the Colle della Guardia.
