Prizzi Living Nativity

During the 2024/2025 Christmas period, the Prizzi Living Nativity renewed the appointment that has animated the Sicani Mountains village in the province of Palermo since 2007. In the upper part of the town, amidst cobblestone alleys and stone staircases lit by torches, actors brought ancient trades to life — weaving, bread making, leatherworking — recreating the atmosphere of the agro-pastoral life of the past.

The heart of the performance, as every year, was the journey of the Holy Family on a donkey, accompanied by the melodies of the bagpipers, to the Nativity grotto. Tastings of typical local products along the path completed an experience that combines faith, tradition, and Sicilian gastronomy.
