Edition 2025 — Primitivo Wine and Black Chickpea Festival

The twenty-first edition of the Primitivo Wine and Black Chickpea Festival took place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the historic center of Acquaviva delle Fonti. Starting at 6:00 PM, a route connecting Piazza San Paolo and Piazza Don Albertario hosted food stands, four Primitivo wine tasting points, black chickpea dishes, local products, and chestnuts, with the support of AIS Murgia and the Consorzio Vini DOP Gioia del Colle.

2025 Edition — the twenty-first festival

The 21st edition of the Primitivo Wine and Black Chickpea Festival was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the historic center of Acquaviva delle Fonti, in the province of Bari. Starting at 6:00 PM, the event route wound through the narrow streets connecting Piazza San Paolo and Piazza Don Albertario, with the opening of food stands and four wine tasting points.

The stands offered traditional recipes prepared with black chickpeas, local products, and chestnuts, accompanied by Primitivo from local wineries, with the collaboration of AIS Murgia and the Consorzio Vini DOP Gioia del Colle. From 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the squares were enlivened by live music: the Cedro Folk Band in Piazza Don Albertario and Valerio Barile with his one-man show and band in Piazza San Paolo. The event was organized by the Pro Loco Curtomartino with the support of the Puglia Region — Department of Agriculture and the Municipality of Acquaviva delle Fonti.

Programme

Saturday, November 15, 2025 — 6:00 PM: Opening of food stands and four Primitivo wine tasting points along the route between Piazza San Paolo and Piazza Don Albertario. From 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM: Cedro Folk Band in Piazza Don Albertario; Valerio Barile with one-man show and band in Piazza San Paolo.
