Edition 2025 — Presepe Vivente di Petrignano
The 44th Edition
For Christmas 2025-2026, the Presepe Vivente di Petrignano d'Assisi celebrated its 44th edition. Performances were held on December 25th, 26th, and 28th, 2025, January 1st, and January 11th, 2026 (with a procession at 4:00 PM and performances from 5:15 PM to 7:30 PM); January 4th was canceled due to bad weather.
As tradition dictates, over 200 volunteer participants recreated the Palestine of the Nativity era among the village alleys and the banks of the Chiascio, featuring ancient crafts, scenes of daily life, and the arrival of the Magi. The free shuttle service connected the center of Assisi to the village.
