Presente Futuro 2025 - 19th Edition

The nineteenth edition of Presente Futuro was held at Teatro Libero in Palermo from May 14 to 17, 2025, confirming the festival's vocation for discovering emerging languages of the European contemporary scene, with a particular focus on under-35 artists.

In this edition as well, the program featured three shows each evening, spanning theatre, dance, and contemporary circus. The 2025 Presente Futuro Prize, including a fifteen-day residency and a production budget, was awarded to "Gnancanabusìa" by the collective Le Mosine / Zaches Teatro. The jury also awarded the Sapienza University residency prize to "Metamorfosi di una rana" by the TSC collective of Bologna and the Cobas "Zero in condotta" prize to "C'ho la scoliosi" by Generazione P of Rome.

Taking place in the historic Kalsa hall in the centre of Palermo, the festival reaffirmed its role as a key showcase for contemporary creation in Sicily and Italy.
