Prenestino Bioblitz 2025

In 2025, the Civic Naturalistic Museum of the Prenestini Mountains continues its commitment to the knowledge and protection of the biodiversity of the Capranica Prenestina territory and the village of Guadagnolo, in the province of Rome. The focus remains on the Monte Guadagnolo Special Area of Conservation, with its ancient beech forests, high-altitude meadows, and rocky cliffs that host fauna and flora of great value.

The citizen science initiatives promoted by the Museum invite researchers, naturalists, and the simply curious to explore these environments together, observing and documenting plants, insects, birds, and mammals. A concrete way to experience the Prenestini Mountains and contribute, with one's own observations, to scientific research and the protection of a precious natural area at the gates of the Capital.
