Edition 2025 — Premio Gentile da Fabriano
The XXIX edition of 2025
The XXIX edition of the Premio Nazionale Gentile da Fabriano took place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10 AM, at the Teatro Comunale Gentile da Fabriano, in the historic center of the Marche city. The general theme, "For the traveler in a sea of fog," was inspired by the famous painting by the German artist Caspar David Friedrich.
The awardees of the XXIX edition were: Luigi Ferrajoli (Lives of Italians category), Francesco Billari (Economy, Work, and Innovation), Ferdinando Scianna (Mario Giacomelli category for contemporary photography), Antonella Santuccione Chadha (Science, Health, and Environment), and Jacopo Veneziani (Carlo Bo category for Culture and Communication). A special Jury Prize was awarded to Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur. The ceremony was hosted by Tg1 journalist Giorgia Cardinaletti.
