Preistorica

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Archaeological Park of Travo hosted "Preistorica", a day of total immersion in the Neolithic period. Reenactor archaeologists, in period costumes, animated the village with practical demonstrations and workshops: flint knapping, bow making, deer antler working, loom weaving, and pot modeling.

For the younger ones, workshops on simulated archaeological digs, clay modeling, prehistoric art, jewelry making, and archery were offered, in addition to demonstrations of fire starting, stone tool production, and cooking with hot stones. The day, curated by ArcheoVea Impresa Culturale in Travo (province of Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna), confirmed the success of a format that combines scientific dissemination and a festive atmosphere.
