Edition 2025 — Fish Festival

2025 was a double-celebration year for the Porto Cesareo Fish Festival. The regular 46th edition was held from July 12 to 14, 2025, in Piazza Nazario Sauro, featuring fried seafood, octopus, mussels, grilled prawns, Salento wine, pizzica, and folk music. A special edition was also held from May 16 to 18, 2025, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Porto Cesareo's municipal autonomy.

Fish Festival 2025 — 46th edition

In 2025, the Fish Festival of Porto Cesareo returned to Piazza Nazario Sauro for its 46th edition, from July 12 to 14, 2025. For three evenings, the village center transformed into the usual open-air restaurant, with Pro Loco stalls serving fried seafood, octopus alla pignata, mussels, cuttlefish, grilled prawns, and Salento wine.

The program alternated between gastronomy and entertainment, with pizzica and folk music concerts, family entertainment, and photographic exhibitions dedicated to the lives of fishermen. Making the year special, a second extraordinary edition took place from May 16 to 18, 2025, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of municipal autonomy of Porto Cesareo, which became an independent municipality in 1975.
