Portici d'Estate International Award

The 2025 edition of Portici d'Estate marked the return of the historic Martina Franca event in a new format, the Portici d'Estate International Award, under the artistic direction of its creator Antonio Rubino. The evening was held on August 10, 2025, on the evocative parvis of the Basilica of San Martino, in Piazza Plebiscito, coinciding with the Night of San Lorenzo.

The square was transformed into an enchanted setting thanks to the light design by Francesco Chiurlia and the Ampli Sud team, in homage to the night of the shooting stars. The evening was hosted by showgirl Matilde Brandi, accompanied by the special guest godmother Violante Placido, one of the most versatile actresses and artists on the Italian scene.

The musical highlight of the evening was the performance by Gianmarco Carroccia with the show Emozioni, a tribute to the repertoire of Lucio Battisti and Mogol. The award celebrated prominent figures from the worlds of business, journalism, culture, entertainment, and art. The evening, with free admission and under the patronage of the Municipality of Martina Franca—Department of Tourism, concluded with the Calici sotto le stelle (Glasses under the stars) toast.
