Edition 2025 — Porretta Cinema Festival

The 24th edition of the Porretta Terme Cinema Festival was held from December 6 to 13, 2025, in Alto Reno Terme (Bologna). The featured event was a retrospective dedicated to German director Margarethe von Trotta, who received a lifetime achievement award, alongside the 13th edition of the "Fuori dal Giro" competition and the 7th edition of the Elio Petri National Award.

24th Edition (2025)

From December 6 to 13, 2025, the Porretta Terme Cinema Festival animated the Cinema Kursaal and other local venues. The monographic retrospective was dedicated to Margarethe von Trotta, featuring titles such as The Lost Honour of Katharina Blum, Hannah Arendt, and Ingeborg Bachmann – Journey into the Desert.

The "Fuori dal Giro" competition, in its 13th edition, presented works of new Italian cinema including La valle dei sorrisi, Le città di pianura, and Testa o croce?. The 7th edition of the Elio Petri National Award paid tribute to the director with a screening of The 10th Victim. Single tickets were €3.00, with passes starting from €15.00.
