Edition 2025 — Porcini Mushroom Festival
The 33rd edition of the Porcini Mushroom Festival was held in Castelcivita, in the province of Salerno, from September 26 to 28, 2025. As per tradition, the event occupied the entire historic center, with the Castelcivita Pro Loco food stalls distributed among the village's alleys and small squares.
The opening night, Friday, September 26, featured Nostalgia 90, a show dedicated to nineties music, starting at 10:30 PM in Piazza Santa Sofia. In the following days, the stalls served the dishes that made the festival famous, all centered around porcini mushrooms harvested on the Alburni plateaus, while on Sunday, opening hours were moved to the morning to welcome visitors stopping by for lunch.
The 2025 edition confirmed the event's growth following its recognition as a "Typical Festival of the Campania Region" obtained the previous year, which placed the Castelcivita festival on the regional calendar of events dedicated to typical Campania products.
