Pontorme in Festa — Volo del Becco

In 2025, Pontorme in Festa took place in early September in the village of Pontorme, Empoli, confirming its role as a defining event for the community. The event featured the traditional re-enactment of the Volo del Becco, preceded by the historical medieval and Renaissance costumed pageant that crossed the village streets with flag-wavers, musicians, and participants.

Among the highlights were the presentation of the Premio Pontormo and the Cencio d'Oro to local figures and excellence, art exhibitions set up in the village spaces, demonstrations of Empoli green glassmaking, and food stands in the Giardino fra le mura. There was no shortage of street performances, square games, and family entertainment, with free admission to all initiatives.
