Edition 2025 — POLIS Teatro Festival

The eighth edition of the POLIS Teatro Festival took place in Ravenna from May 2 to 11, 2025, with an Iberian focus dedicated to contemporary theatre from the Iberian Peninsula. Over 35 events including shows, eight world premieres, meetings, round tables, soundwalks, and special projects animated the city's main cultural venues, for the first time also including the monumental cemetery.

POLIS Teatro Festival 2025: Iberian Focus

The eighth edition of the festival, directed by ErosAntEros (Davide Sacco and Agata Tomšič), dedicated its focus to contemporary theatre from Spain and Portugal. Among the numerous events, the under-35 section POLIS NEON at Artificerie Almagià, the world premiere of Copla: un cabaret spagnolo by Alejandro Postigo, the show Rita by Marta Buchaca staged by AriaTeatro, and the soundwalk Corpi Celesti by El Conde de Torrefiel within the monumental cemetery of Ravenna.

The performances were held at Teatro Rasi, MAR, Artificerie Almagià, and Teatro Socjale, confirming the festival's international vocation and its roots in the city of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna.
