Edition 2025 — Polenta and Salamini

In 2025, the Orta San Giulio Alpine Group once again hosted its Carnival event, serving polenta and salamini in Piazza Motta. A free community festival in the heart of the village on Lake Orta, featuring the traditional pignatte game for children, in the cheerful and convivial spirit typical of the Cusio Alpine troops.

Carnival 2025

During the 2025 Carnival season, Piazza Motta in Orta San Giulio hosted the usual Alpine Group festival, with the distribution of polenta and salamini at lunchtime and the pignatte game for children. As every year, the festival was a moment of gathering for the community of the Novara village, an integral part of the widespread Carnival celebrations on Lake Orta.

The setting of Piazza Motta, overlooking the lake and the Island of San Giulio, provided the backdrop for a simple and genuine day, celebrating the gastronomic and popular traditions of the Cusio area.
