Edition 2025 — Polenta and Birds
The 2025 edition of the Polenta and Birds Festival, the 56th, took place in Filecchio (Barga, LU) over the weekends of September 5–6–7 and 12–13–14, with the traditional baked pork shank dinner on Wednesday, September 10, by reservation.
Every evening, the food stalls in the parish area offered 'formenton' polenta with meats, accompanied by live music, ballroom dancing, a bar, and a charity raffle. Highlights of the program included: the mountain bike race for the 10th Polenta Trophy, the cheese-rolling competition, the guided walk to the castle of Seggio, and demonstrations of ancient agricultural work, such as grain threshing. The festival was organized by the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta together with the Associazione Polentari.
