Edition 2025 — Podolica Festival
In 2025, the Podolica Festival once again enlivened Pescopagano, celebrating the queen of Lucanian pastures with smoked caciocavallo, DOP cheeses, prized meats, and re-enactments of the agricultural trades of the past, confirming itself as a key event for the rural culture of alta Basilicata.
The 2025 edition of the Podolica Festival brought thousands of gastronomy and rural culture enthusiasts to Pescopagano. Among the stands of podolico caciocavallo and DOP cheeses and the historical re-enactments of threshing, milking, and cheesemaking, the event organized by the Pratica...mente association once again told the story of the deep bond between the village and the symbolic cattle breed of its pastures.
