Plate of Saint Anthony Abbot

The 2025 edition of the Plate of Saint Anthony Abbot confirmed in January the great patronal feast of Santa Maria degli Angeli (Assisi, PG). As per centuries-old tradition, the Focaraccio in Piazza Garibaldi opened the celebrations, followed by the solemn procession with the Carabinieri Band, local authorities, and associations.

The blessing of animals and bread on the Basilica's parvis and the distribution of the traditional dish in the town's restaurants brought the Angelan community together in devotion to the patron saint, protector of animals, in a commemoration that intertwines faith, village identity, and gastronomy.
