Edition 2025 — Pizzonte Festival

On July 26 and 27, 2025, the Pizzonte Festival celebrated its thirtieth edition in Piccianello. Piazza XXIV Maggio hosted the pizzonta, the traditional peasant fried pizza, for two evenings, along with arrosticini, porchetta, salt cod with peppers, chips, and desserts. Admission was free, and the festival was accompanied by live music.

Pizzonte Festival 2025: the 30th edition

The thirtieth edition of the Pizzonte Festival took place in Piccianello, a hamlet of Picciano (PE), on July 26 and 27, 2025, in Piazza XXIV Maggio. An important milestone for the Vivere Insieme Cultural Association, which organizes the festival dedicated to the pizzonta, the fried leavened dough that is a symbol of Abruzzo peasant cuisine, every year.

On the tables, in addition to the pizzonta, there were arrosticini, porchetta, salt cod and peppers, french fries, and desserts, accompanied by wine and beer. The two evenings were enlivened by live music: on July 26 with the Radio Radianti (Ligabue tribute band) and the Mama Teresa Band, and on July 27 with the Wild Acustic Trio and Jessica and Cristian for ballroom and group dancing. Admission to the event was free.
