Edition 2025 — Pizzarello Festival

Following the Terlizzi gastronomic tradition, the Pizzarello Festival has for years promoted the city's typical bread, a star of summer convivial evenings. The event celebrates the pizzarello—an elongated focaccia with cherry tomatoes, stuffed with mortadella and provolone—in a popular festival atmosphere featuring tastings, music, and gatherings in the center of Terlizzi, Puglia.

The Pizzarello Festival has its roots in the summer festivities of Terlizzi, where the famous local bread becomes the center of an evening of taste and community. Throughout its editions, the event has combined tastings, crafts, and musical entertainment, drawing residents and visitors together around one of the city's most iconic flavors.

The pizzarello, recognizable by the cherry tomatoes on top and its soft interior, represents a ritual in Terlizzi, especially on Friday nights. The festival makes it a symbol of conviviality and belonging to the Puglian territory, in the province of Bari.
