The 2025 Pizza and Schiacciata Festival
The 2025 edition of the Pizza and Schiacciata Festival was held in Valverde from Friday, September 5 to Sunday, September 7, 2025, along Via Nino Martoglio, in the PEEP area. For three evenings, the festival's ovens baked hot pizzas, stuffed schiacciate, and seasoned bread, accompanied by specialties of Sicilian gastronomy.
In 2025, the event once again confirmed its solidarity-driven nature: organized by the Fraternità della Misericordia di Valverde, it asked visitors for a simple contribution in exchange for food, donating the proceeds to the association's volunteer activities. The evenings were accompanied by live music, dancing, and entertainment for families and children.
