Pisa Book Festival 2025 — 23rd Edition
The 2025 edition of the Pisa Book Festival was held from October 2 to 5, 2025, at the Arsenali Repubblicani, with meetings at the Museum of Ancient Ships, the Torre Guelfa, and the Royal Palace. All events were free to attend.
The Guest Country for this edition was Romania: the inaugural speech on October 2 was delivered by writer Mircea Cărtărescu, accompanied by translator Bruno Mazzoni. Guests among the over seventy presentations included Massimo Osanna, Fabio Genovesi, Mario Desiati, Luigino Bruni, Ben Pastor, and Maïssa Bey.
On October 3, the ceremony for the 5th Pisa Book Translation Awards took place, with lifetime achievement awards presented to Elena Liverani (translator) and Marco Cassini (publisher, SUR), and the Special Poetry Prize awarded to Alberto Cristofori.
