Piliero Festival

The 2025 Piliero Festival was held on August 12, 2025, in Casali d'Aschi (Gioia dei Marsi), starting at 8:00 PM, as part of the Municipality's rich summer calendar which featured over sixty events including sports, culture, music, and tradition.

As per tradition, the star of the evening was piliero, the wild aromatic herb harvested by volunteers on the shores of Lake Aschi and used to season panzanella and typical dishes. The Pro Loco's food stalls offered local specialties and traditional desserts, while live music, folk dances, and ancient storytelling accompanied an evening of folklore and conviviality in the heart of the Marsica region.
