Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Alto

The 2025 edition of the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Alto took place on Sunday, July 6, the first Sunday of the month. The faithful from Castellana Sicula and the hamlets of Calcarelli and Nociazzi hiked to the summit of Monte Alto, in the Madonie Park, for the celebrations organized by the Parish of Calcarelli.

After the three-day preparation, the festival day unfolded with religious services in the small summit church, the short but deeply felt procession along the path surrounding the sanctuary, and blessings directed toward the Madonie towns below. On the occasion of the 2025 Jubilee, the devotion took on an even more intense meaning, attracting numerous pilgrims along the mountain paths.
