Pilgrimage to the Alpine Soldiers' Chapel - Monte Cauriol

The 2025 pilgrimage

The 2025 edition of the pilgrimage confirmed the tradition that the Caoria Alpine Group has maintained for decades on Monte Cauriol, in the heart of the Lagorai. From Rifugio Refavaie, the fittest hikers climbed to the summit along the Via degli Alpini for the ceremony at the top, while Holy Mass was celebrated at the ruins of the Campigol de Féro chapel, accompanied by the sounding of the 'Silenzio' and a rifle salute in memory of those who fell during the Great War. The day concluded with an Alpine lunch under the ANA tent in Caoria, a hamlet of Canal San Bovo (Trentino).
