Edition 2025 — Our Lady of Pierno
In 2025, the Ferragosto pilgrimage once again drew the faithful from San Fele and the Vulture region to the Pierno Sanctuary, with the night vigil on August 14th and the Assumption procession on the 15th, continuing a nearly thousand-year-old tradition recognized as intangible heritage.
The 2025 edition confirmed the deep roots of the pilgrimage to Our Lady of Pierno. On the night between August 14th and 15th, the faithful ascended Mount Pierno for the vigil, while on the Assumption day, the solemn Mass and the shoulder-borne procession of the statue took place. Numerous San Fele natives returned from abroad to attend the most cherished event of the village's summer.
