Edition 2025 — Piglione Vertical

In 2025, the Piglione Vertical was not yet on the calendar: the uphill race debuts as its first edition in 2026. The event was born within the scope of the Piglione Trail, the trail running event that took place in Pescaglia (LU) on October 19, 2025, on the trails of Val di Turrite and the Apuan Alps.

The Piglione Vertical did not take place in 2025: the uphill race is a 2026 novelty. It was inspired by the Piglione Trail, a trail running event organized by ASD AICS Val di Turrite in Pescaglia, in the province of Lucca, which in October 2025 brought numerous athletes to the trails of the Apuan Alps for ultra, long, and short distances, starting from the Sports Field of San Rocco in Turrite. Following the success of this event, the organizers introduced a new vertical race for 2026 dedicated to the ascent towards the summit of Piglione Sud.
