PIF 2025 — the 50th anniversary of the Prize

The 2025 edition, held from September 10th to 14th, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the Premio Internazionale della Fisarmonica di Castelfidardo, with the motto 'fifty years of tradition, prestige, and commitment'. Five days of competitions and dozens of free concerts took place at the Teatro Astra, Auditorium San Francesco, Salone degli Stemmi, and Piazza della Repubblica.

The Premio category concluded with an exciting ex aequo between Emanuele Viti, a twenty-year-old from Agnone, and Luca Bello, from Trieste residing in Copenhagen: a double victory that brought the trophy back to Italy after twelve years. The jury, chaired by Massimiliano Pitocco, evaluated the competitors over three rounds, the last of which was performed live with the Solisti Aquilani on the piece 'ForEverPIF' for accordion and string orchestra. The final day featured the Fisorchestra Castelfidardo. A historic edition for the town in the Marche region, the world capital of the accordion.
