Edition 2025 — Pietrasanta in Concerto
The 19th edition of Pietrasanta in Concerto brought the theme «Music Without Borders» to Pietrasanta, in the heart of Versilia: a ten-day festival, from July 18 to 28, 2025, which confirmed the international vocation of the festival conceived and directed by Michael Guttman.
Among the protagonists were Maxim Vengerov with pianist Polina Osentinskaya in a recital dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of Shostakovich's death, cellist Jing Zhao, flutist Andrea Griminelli, and mandolinist Avi Avital, accompanied by the Brussels Chamber Orchestra and musicians from the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The program alternated great repertoire classics, Brazilian music, tango, and two Italian premieres, while the masterclasses concluded with concerts by young soloists. The evenings were held in the Renaissance Chiostro di Sant'Agostino and in Piazza Duomo, in the historic center of the Municipality of Pietrasanta, in the province of Lucca.
