Pietra Poesia Festival 2025: the fourth edition

From September 12th to 14th, 2025, Pietravairano hosted the fourth edition of the festival, curated by Gianni Iasimone and Daniela Muratori with the collaboration of Giuseppe Castrillo, for the Microcosmus Association together with the Pozzo di San Lorenzo Aps Association and the local Pro Loco.

Friday the 12th saw the inauguration of the exhibitions: Maria Cristina Ballestracci's installation «Oltrepassi 201», «Il recupero del futuro» by Antonio Leone, and «Equilibri dell'anima» by Tommaso Marcello. This was followed by the meeting «Léngua madre» with neo-dialect poets, including Vincenzo Mastropirro and Gianluca D'Annibali, with musical interludes by Enzo Altieri and Gabriele Canelli, and the awards ceremony for the «Paesi Tuoi» competition dedicated to the poet Andrea Leone.

Saturday the 13th was the day of «Tra qui e l'altrove», a tribute to the poet Maurizio Marotta with Manuel Cohen, Gianfranco Lauretano, and Salvatore Ritrovato from the University of Urbino.

Sunday the 14th, after the morning walk to the theatre-temple, the festival closed with readings from Sophocles' «Oedipus Rex» in ancient Greek, afternoon meetings, and the theatrical performance «Miasma», followed by the final concert.
