Edition 2025 — Pici and Lumacci Festival
In 2025, the Pici and Lumacci Festival returned to Piancastagnaio from July 3 to 6 for its 16th edition. The Contrada di Voltaia festival inaugurated "Contrade in Festa", the month of celebrations that, through the festivals of Voltaia, Borgo, Coro, and Castello, accompanies the town towards the Palio della Madonna di San Pietro in August.
The food stands, open every evening along Via XX Settembre, offered handmade pici and stewed lumacci, the district's signature specialties, along with other Amiata cuisine delicacies. The evenings were accompanied by live music, DJ sets, and entertainment for adults and children, confirming the festival as one of the most cherished summer events on Mount Amiata.
