Piazze d'Armi e di Città Festival

The 21st edition of the Piazze d'Armi e di Città Festival enlivened Poggibonsi in June 2025, with musical events and shows for children until the beginning of July. The opening night, Thursday, June 5 at the Teatro Politeama, featured Tullio Solenghi with "Una serata pazzesca", dedicated to Paolo Villaggio on the fiftieth anniversary of the film Fantozzi. The programme, curated by the Fondazione E.L.S.A. CultureComuni, alternated auteur theatre, shadow puppetry, contemporary dance (with the evenings of June 20 and 21 in Piazza Berlinguer, including the companies AiEP/Ariella Vidach and Adarte), and a rich musical programme, confirming the festival as one of the most important summer cultural events in the Valdelsa.
