Edition 2025 — Piazza Letteraria

In 2025, Piazza Letteraria – Catania Reads once again enlivened Piazza Scammacca with a free day dedicated to books and reading. Promoted by Effetto Etneo, the event featured meetings with authors, dialogues with independent publishers, writing workshops, children's activities, and a book swap party, confirming its status as a recurring event in the Catania cultural scene.

2025 Edition

In 2025, Piazza Letteraria returned to Piazza Scammacca, in Catania, confirming the formula that has made the festival recognizable: a free day of books, words, and meetings in public spaces, promoted by the cultural project Effetto Etneo.

In this edition as well, the square was organized into thematic islands dedicated to writers, independent publishers, writing workshops, readers, and children, with presentations, readings, and the usual book swap party. The event helped strengthen the bond between the city and reading, bringing culture to the people in an informal and participatory way.
